So Energy
Who we are
So Energy was created in 2015 because we knew energy suppliers could be better. Since then, we’ve grown rapidly but sustainably, with 350,000 customers and over 450 Energists (what we call our people). But we’re not done. We’re on the road to a net zero future, and thanks to our partnership with ESB, we’re well on the way. We’re customer-centric, tech-led, and passionate about sustainability.
We want to do the best we can for our customers, each other, and our planet, so we’ve created a workplace that's encouraging, supportive, and offers the opportunity for growth. As a company, we live by six core values that guide everything we do:
- Clear
- Honest
- Ambitious
- Inquisitive
- Caring
- Sustainable
The Role
Campaign Manager at SO ENERGY
We are looking for a Campaign Manager who can formalise and professionalise the campaign-building capabilities at So Energy. We want to be able to build effective campaigns that deliver over the long term (multi-month brand campaigns with digital advertising support) and the short term (tactical campaigns using owned and earned channels, often directly to existing customers.) These all need to have a structured approach that aligns target outcomes to input investment, with transparency on what is and isn’t working. To do this we need an experienced campaign leader who knows what good looks like and can provide the framework for future campaigns.
Reporting to our Lou Cannon (Marketing Manager) 👋
What you’ll be getting up to:
- Designing campaigns against business goals for specific target audiences, aligning investment with expected outcomes
- Building and managing campaign budgets, allocating appropriate amounts to content, promo, and media
- Creating clear media strategies to support each campaign in collaboration with the media agency and the leadership team
- Consider paid, owned and earned channel options and articulate how channel selection delivers against the campaign budget and objectives
- Developing effective messaging around product offers and market realities in coordination with the product team
- Delivering requirements for content and promo assets to the content lead and agencies who will produce the assets based on your specification
- Briefing senior management, the marketing team, and the overall organisation of campaign goals, timelines, messaging, and outcomes
- Driving collaboration across the team including creative, digital, operations, and sales to ensure consistent execution of strategies and achievement of goals
- Managing the execution of the campaigns from start to finish, overseeing timelines, deliverables, and day-to-day activities, and managing the dependencies on colleagues where appropriate
- Monitoring campaign performance through key leading and following metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimise the strategy for better outcomes
- Working with external agencies to ensure they meet requirements, timelines, and budget constraints while maintaining high-quality
- Conducting post-campaign analysis to evaluate performance against objectives, gather insights for improvement, and report results to stakeholders
This role will be a great fit if:
Who will you be working with?
- Collaborating with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, Product, Data and beyond to develop campaign plans that deliver against business and product objectives, as part of a broader marketing plan
What are we looking for?
- Marketing campaign specialist with proven experience managing full-funnel, multi-channel campaigns.
- Experience of increasing brand awareness over a sustained period, using data and insight to demonstrate campaign impact
- Experience of driving commercial results including sales and revenue growth attributable to campaign activity

Your experience, skills and passion will set you apart so tell us about your achievements, irrespective of whether they are personal or work-related, tell us about your journey, and about what you learnt.
