The Role
Head of ECO at SO ENERGY
As the Head of ECO & WHD at So Energy, you will lead the strategic direction and delivery of So Energy’s expanding requirements under the ECO, GBIS and WHD schemes. This senior role will also support the wider So Energy strategic mission in supporting customers to Net Zero through the creation, planning and delivery of efficiency improvements in co-ordination with the existing Energy Services team.

What you’ll be getting up to:
- Develop and execute So Energy’s strategic plan for ECO, GBIS and WHD measures, overseeing all aspects from concept to delivery.
- Own and refine the tendering process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the ECO, GBIS and WHD delivery budgets, implementing advanced forecasting models and delivering precise financial reporting to inform strategic decisions.
- Direct the integration of the supply chain into our strategic planning, maintaining a dynamic forecast and delivery alignment with ECO, GBIS and WHD obligations.
- Cultivate and sustain So Energy’s network of high-value third-party relationships, enhancing our strategic capabilities and compliance with standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and actively mitigating risk of fraud.
- Lead engagement with industry regulators like OFGEM and DESNZ, fostering relationships that contribute to the continuous improvement of ECO, GBIS and WHD operations.
- Guarantee the safety and quality of all operational activities, enforcing rigorous standards for staff, contractors, and the wider community.
- Steer the operational delivery management, setting targets, supervising performance metrics, and reporting strategic progress to executive leadership.
- Champion the continuous improvement of ECO deployment efficiency, leveraging stakeholder input and external partnerships to drive innovation.
- Support the development and implementation of the company strategic plan in delivering energy efficiency measures over and above existing government obligations, in conjunction with the Energy Services and Product teams.
This role will be a great fit if:
- Proficiency in contractor work management systems and a strong command of supply chain forecasting and management
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ECO strategy formulation and operational management, with a demonstrable record of leading high-performing initiatives.
- Extensive knowledge of ECO, GBIS and WHD regulatory landscape and an adept ability to navigate associated deployment challenges.
- Mastery of safety standards, including PAS2035, and an unwavering commitment to uphold them.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven aptitude for negotiating and maintaining strategic partnerships.
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams delivering continuous improvement initiatives
- Adept at cross-functional collaboration, effectively integrating insights from Finance, Procurement, Regulations, and Legal teams to enhance strategic initiatives.
- Track record of managing diverse teams and fostering an environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence
