The Role
Head of Growth Marketing at SO ENERGY
Reporting into our Marketing Director, Michael Campbell 👋, we’re looking for a Head of Growth Marketing to join the team.
The Head of Growth Marketing will lead and oversee the delivery of So Energy’s sales and retention strategy to deliver against ambitious commercial targets.
You will be responsible for leading a small team covering a range of channels including price comparison websites, commercial partnerships, telesales, email and CRM, loyalty and referrals.
You will collaborate with colleagues across Marketing and the wider business to ensure an integrated, data-driven and customer centric approach to growth.
This is a high-profile position requiring strong commercial and communication skills an analytical approach to prioritisation, resource allocation and channel optimisation.
What you’ll be getting up to:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales, retention and growth marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Define metrics and KPIs, monitor performance and optimise tactics to deliver results within business targets.
- Lead and mentor a small team focused on acquisition and retention, as part of a wider commercial and marketing function.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, combining creativity and innovation with evidence-based decision making.
- Build relationships with price comparison sites to enhance visibility on PCWs and maximise sales and revenue.
- Accelerate growth through channel expansion including partnerships, affiliates, telephony and direct marketing.
- Oversee email and CRM activity across the lifecycle including onboarding, engagement, cross-sell and retention.
- Develop loyalty and advocacy programs to encourage and track referrals and maximise earned growth.
- Work closely with our analytics and insights team to ensure a consumer-centric, data-informed approach to growth.
- Partner with Trading, Customer Ops, Tech, Finance, People and other teams to ensure an integrated business-wide approach.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team to align on messaging, positioning, campaign and channel strategies.
- Manage the growth marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and ROI across a range of channels.
- Proactively report on sales, retention and channel performance to encourage transparency for stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Support the Marketing Director on strategic initiatives, team capability building and business development as required.
What are we looking for?
- A strategic growth marketing professional with proven experience driving customer acquisition and retention.
- Experienced in coaching and managing people and supporting individual, team and business growth.
- Broad expertise in sales and marketing channels including PCWs, affiliates, partnerships, email and direct marketing.
- Proficient in analysing data, evaluating performance and taking responsibility to drive continuous improvement
