The Role
Senior Metering Specialist at SO ENERGY
Reporting into our Metering Team Leader 👋, we’re looking for a Senior Metering Specialist to join the team. Metering within So Energy is undergoing an exciting transformation with the introduction of smart metering and transformational new technologies. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Metering Analyst to be at the forefront of that change, providing critical knowledge, support and problem solving to ensure we can continue to provide an outstanding service for our customers
What you’ll be getting up to:
- Supporting the installation of second-generation smart meters, tracking and reporting on completion levels
- Providing support for the metering team and wider business on complex metering queries (both traditional and smart)
- Acting as a key point of contact for our installers, service providers and third parties.
- Supporting and monitoring Firmware Upgrades on smart meters
- Taking ownership of complaints and escalations with a focus on delivering for our customers
- Supporting new members of the team to grow their knowledge
- Ability to triage functional aspects of metering systems and find root causes where applicable.
- Monitoring first generation smart meter enrolment and adoption
- Supporting and identifying requirements for knowledge transfer between departments and within the metering team
- Identifying and developing metering processes, producing training material where necessary with a focus on continuous improvement
This role will be a great fit if:
- Enjoy solving complex problems
- Competent in navigating IT systems including Microsoft office packages
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt to change in a fast paced environment
- A strong team player, willing to work together to achieve goals
- Enjoys supporting with the training of new and junior team members, providing ad hoc support as needed
