The Role
EV Installation Advisor at SO ENERGY
As an EV Installation Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of compliant, technically sound EV chargepoint installations, while maintaining an outstanding customer experience. You will interpret survey data, engage with customers, identify installation requirements, generate quotes, and manage the entire installation journey to ensure a seamless experience from start to finish.
This role also involves close collaboration with the Propositions Team to identify and implement operational and customer journey improvements that support scalability and efficiency.
Your proven experience in interpreting data, managing customer relationships, and working with internal and external stakeholders will be critical to your success.
This role is reporting to our Head of Solar & Storage.
What you’ll be getting up to:
- Act as a key support resource for the Solar & Storage team where required, contingent on EV charge point installation volumes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Interpret customer survey data and liaise with customers to confirm property details and installation requirements.
- Prepare and share accurate customer quotes based on survey findings.
- Create detailed installation briefs for our installer network, flagging any issues or unique site considerations.
- Submit necessary applications to Distribution Network Operators (DNOs).
- Ensure correct equipment is ordered for each installation.
- Manage customer communications via phone and email, providing expert advice and updates throughout the process.
- Oversee successful installations, resolving or escalating any issues promptly.
- Own and resolve customer and third-party queries effectively.
- Maintain accurate pricing, protect margins, and ensure installations are delivered “right first time”.
- Use CRM systems efficiently to support business performance.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the installation process.
- Work with the Propositions Team to identify process improvements and support the development of streamlined, customer-centric journeys.

- You are proficient in IT and you are confident using digital platforms and tools.
