Sections of an interview
Beginning
Everyone introduces each other
At the start of the interview, you might find yourself feeling a little nervous, trying to remember who is on the interview panel and all the great examples you have prepared. Don't worry!
All interviews will start with an introduction. The interview panel will tell you a little about them such as their role, responsibilities and how long they have been with So Energy. In turn, you can tell them a little about your previous experience, why you are interested in the role and what you believe you could bring to the role

Interview questions
This is a chance for the interview panel to get to know more about you and your experience. They will ask you questions to assess your experience against a list of predetermined competencies. This list of competencies will have been provided to you in advance by a member of our Talent team, so it may be work considering some examples ahead of time.
This is about discovering who you are as a person, a professional and a potential future So Energist. Some of these questions may ask you to recall a time you did something and others may be more focused on your behaviours.
There is no rush! Take your time to consider the question first.
End
Your turn to ask us questions
Interviews are a two-way process. An opportunity for you to decide if we are the right business for you as much as anything else. The last portion of the interview will be your time to ask the panellist questions about the role and the wider business. This is a great time to ask those burning questions and it's always good practice to have some ready in advance.
Inquisitive is one of our values after all.

Interviews can be stressful and they favour extraverts. If you find yourself drawering a blank, getting tunnel vision or if your nerves are getting the better of you then just let the panelists know and we can help. We can take a 5 min break, move on to another question and cirlce back or even give you the option to submit your answer in writing after the interview.
