The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our data analytics team. As a Senior Data Analyst at So Energy you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and solve complex challenges for the business.
We are looking for a candidate with advanced SQL skills who has a track record of successfully delivering analytical insights to the business.

What you’ll be getting up to in this role:
Line manage 2 direct reports (mid/junior Analysts), working collaboratively with the Data Team Lead.
Utilize advanced SQL skills to extract, clean, and analyse complex datasets, providing meaningful insights.
Lead data-driven projects, from defining objectives and methodologies to presenting findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, develop analytical solutions, and drive data-driven decision-making.
Design and document curated Data Warehouse tables to be handed to our Data Engineering team for implementation.
Define metrics that are suited to business monitoring at various levels.
Create clear and compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels.
Support the business in ad-hoc data analysis and data supply covering auditing, marketing campaigns and customer segmentation.
Input and guide on new standards to improve our delivery of dashboards, reports, and insights.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analysis and data science.
Contribute as part of an agile team with sprint planning sessions and daily stand ups.
Communicate status, blockers, and progress in a clear and concise manner.
You’re a great match if:
You have a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering) or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Analyst or similar role with a strong focus on advanced SQL skills. Experience within the Energy Supply Industry will be favourable.
Data Warehouse design experience using industry methodologies will be highly favourable.
Demonstrated experience in delivering complex data projects, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI)
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large, messy datasets to extract valuable insights.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to drive projects from inception to completion.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
A proactive and collaborative attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
