Two high school friends, Simon & Charlie, knew energy could be better. So Energy was born, offering customers sustainable and affordable energy, with outstanding service, made simple.

We launch Solar!
We launched So Energy Solar in 2020, our first product offering and another way to support our customers in the transition to net zero.
ESB Merger
In 2021, So Energy joined forces with ESB - Ireland’s leading state owned energy company. Together, we’ve combined So Energy’s customer-first, tech-led approach with ESB’s renewable expertise to accelerate our growth, expand our offerings, and power a cleaner, net-zero future.
Nova Launch
We launched our very own internal customer service platform.
Brand Refresh
We refreshed our brand to reflect our bold and unique identity. We were also awarded the Sunday Times Best Place to Work award for the first time!
EV Tariff & So Unique
We launched a first in market flexible tariff built around customer's energy usage and our EV tariff to help customers save money on their EV charging and support the transition to a greener and more sustainable future.
